Stepping Stones Pre-School
Where Learning is Fun Every Step of the Way!
We are a non-denominational, not-for-profit pre-school, located in beautiful Seneca Falls, NY at The United Methodist Church. We provide 3 and 5 day classes for all children ages 3-5.
Our focus is on Kindergarten readiness made fun. We base our curriculum on the skill set required by the local school district for all children entering Kindergarten.
We believe that children have the right to learn in a playful, stimulating, and loving environment.
Curriculum
We offer a 3 day program which is geared towards three year olds, and a 5 day program for four year olds who are preparing to enter Kindergarten the following fall.
Our 5 day program includes individual instruction for each child to ensure that he/she will succeed in Kindergarten. The classes run from 9:00-11:30 am and 9:10–11:40 am, Monday - Friday, based upon the Seneca Falls School District Calendar.
We offer a wide variety of teacher directed group activities including reading, math, science, art, music, cultural awareness, free play, and physical fitness. Our classrooms are also set up into distinct learning areas for the children to choose from during free play. We offer a book nook, puzzle table, manipulative area (blocks, musical instruments, lacing, bead stringing etc.) dramatic play area (dress up clothes and hats, kitchen, babies, puppets and puppet theater, cars, farm animals, etc.) a science area (magnifying glasses, hand held mirrors, magnets, etc.) and art area for non directed drawing and coloring.
